2008 Annual Conference Hits Record Attendance

The 2008 Annual Conference was held December 5-6 at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Tom Hatch and his 2008 Planning Committee coordinated one of the most successful NWUS meetings in the history of the society marked by record attendance and high ratings expressed through the audience response system, attendee exit interviews and exhibitor exit interviews.

A new feature for the Annual Conference was the Health Policy Forum on Friday morning which was such a success, the 2009 Planning Committee headed by our new president Fred Govier, MD will be incorporating into the 2009 conference agenda.

Below is a portion of the health policy keynote presentation by Governor Kitzhaber on the "Future of Medicine in America".
